Customer Service for Pups

A few months ago my cousin Vanessa (vet in training) recommended the Gentle Leader head collar by Premier Products LLC.

Being 4' 9", it was difficult to walk my 70 lb. dog. He was a decent walker from the get go. Never stops to pee or poop and only sniffs around if there's someone nearby.

However, he is dog and cat aggressive. My biggest fear was that he would get into a fight or take off in chase of an animal. I'd have no way of stopping him. He's just too strong.

I went to Petco to look for this head collar thing and found 2 brands. While the other brand was a few dollars less, I trusted Vanessa and shelled out the $24.99 for the Gentle Leader.

Then came the day my dog ate his accessories!

We had company and Jackson had to be leashed. 1st he ate his head collar, then his "good" leash.

I replaced them but thought I'd view the instructional CD that comes with the Gentle Leader.

At the end there's a message that they have a discounted replacement program for dogs who chew through their collars.

Wait, what?

Yup, I emailed them and for a fraction of the cost of a new collar they mailed me a brand new replacement.

Let's face it. Most companies only care about one sale to many people. Sure they say they care, but when they truly stand behind their products and understand the needs of their customers they deserve recognition and the loyalty of consumers.
